JAMMU, Apr 6: To finalize the arrangements for 27th Annual Chhari Mubarak Yatra to the historical shrines of Purmandal, a meeting of various religious and social organizations was held today at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple Complex, Gandhi Nagar in Jammu.
The meeting was chaired by Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and president of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust as well as Purmandal Utter Behni Shrines Development Committee.
Besides, representatives of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust and Purmandal Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, representatives of Langar Seva Samiti Bari Brahmana, Data Dev Development Committee Birpur and other prominent citizens participated in the meeting.
Keeping Corona Pandemic situation in view, the Committee decided to replicate the programme as was done last year, keeping all SOPs in position. It was decided that on 9th of April Chhari Puja of Holy Maces will be performed in Shri Ranbireshwar Temple in the evening and only 2/3 representatives from the Trust will participate.
It was further decided that on 10th of April, the Holy Maces will leave for Raghunath Temple in a well decorated vehicle under the guidance of Mahant Rishiban Ji and from there, the Holy Maces will reach Shri Lakshimi Narayan Ji Mandir, Gandhi Nagar Jammu where the Holy Maces will be received by the Trustees for Pooja. Thereafter, the Yatra will proceed to Purmandal via Mahadev Temple Gandhi Nagar, Shiv Temple Trikuta Nagar, Shiv Temple Greater Kailash, Narsingh Dev Mandir Birpur and Data Ranpat Dev Temple, Birpur etc.
Charak appealed DC Samba to direct District Administration, RTO, Traffic Police and all other concerned departments to make necessary arrangements as per past practice for the smooth celebrations of the three-day programme there. He also advised the Management Committee enroute not to install Langer and stalls, keeping the Corona pandemic in view.
