REASI, Apr 6: A deputation led by Ajay Baru vice president, Municipal Committee Katra , along with senior BJP leader and Wrestling Association president, Shiv Kumar Sharma , Rakesh Kumar Dubey , Pt Shiv Jamwal , retired captain, Vishav Nath and Rattan Lal submitted a memorandum to DDC chairman, Saraf Singh Nag and DC Reasi, Ajay Kumar Sharma , regarding sanitation issues of Katra Development Authority (KDA) as the areas of KDA surrounding the Railway Station are filled with heaps of garbage with drains blocked.
Ajay Baru informed the DC that this area is the face of Katra as Yatries which enter Katra via Railway Station are taken aback by the situation of sanitation. Shiva Sharma said that KDA has its own sources of income but they don’t have even one single staff of Sanitation Department. Looking at the initiative taken by Government of India under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan KDA is lacking behind.
Both DDC chairman and DC Reasi assured the team led by Baru that a immediate steps will be taken to solve the problem and administration will make sure that clean and Hygienic atmosphere for living conditions will be provided to the citizens in the era of Pandemic.
