JAMMU, June 3: A young house wife committed suicide by hanging herself at the house of her in-laws in Pounci Chak, under the jurisdiction of Domana Police Station.
Identity of the deceased has been established as Shallo Devi (35) wife of Ashok Kumar. She was found hanging with ceiling fan hook in her room.
The deceased is believed to have committed suicide after a quarrel with her husband who is absconding after the incident, Police said and added that a case has been registered in this connection under Section 174 for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a man died and six others got injured in a collision between a load carrier and Tipper near Military Hospital Satwari, this morning.
The deceased was identified as Sat Pal, son of Diwan Chand of Falain Mandal. He reportedly died on the spot while the injured were shifted to Gandhi Nagar Hospital for treatment.
