448th Parkash Divas of Guru Nabha Dass celebrated

SAMBA, Apr 8: The 448th Parkash Divas of Goswami Shri Guru Nabha Dass Ji Maharaj was celebrated at Samba, Ramgarh, Utterbehani and at a number of places in Samba district under the leadership of J&K BJP general secretary, Dr. Devinder Manyal (former Minister) along with other local prominent social and political leaders.
Dr. Manyal, while speaking on the occasion spoke on the history of the Sri Guru Nabha Dass Ji. He said that Guru Nabha Dass was born on April 8th 1537 in Bhadrachalam village, located on the banks of river Godavari in the Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh.
He said that he orphaned at the age of five, Guru Ji was later taken by the revered saints, Shri Agar Dass Ji and Keel Dass, to Ghalta Dham temple near Jaipur, Rajasthan. There, his knowledge and wisdom meant that he was chosen to write about the lives of more than 200 saints.
In his sacred scripture, the Bhaktamal, Nabha Das wrote the life history of almost every saint ranging from the Satyug to the Kalyug era.
Dr. Manyal asked all to imbibe the great wisdom of these great men who have lived every single moment of their lives for the welfare of all living beings.
