JAMMU, Apr 8: Jammu and Kashmir Innovative Foundation for Transforming Society (JKIFTS) today organized a webinar on World Health Day-2021 and highlighted the importance of this year’s theme ‘Building a Fairer, Healthier World’.
The webinar was conducted under the health initiatives of JKIFTS and was hosted by Founder cum Director JKIFTS, Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo and moderated by Mohammed Taha Fayaz, member of JKIFTS Council of Writers and Columnists.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Itoo stressed on the importance of celebrating World Health Day and presented its history since inception.
He said that agenda of ‘Health for All’ is possible only if all are mobilized for health.
Advocate Syed Mujtaba, senior member of JKIFTS and child rights activist said, mental health is an important aspect of health and there is a need to create awareness about it in the society.
Chetan Prabhakar, a mindfulness coach and JKIFTS member from Jammu said, people should ensure physical activity in their daily routine and do mindfulness exercises to promote their mental health.
Chief Coordinator cum Head of JKIFTS council of Writers and Columnists, Mushtaque B Barq also spoke on the occasion.
The webinar was attended by various members of JKIFTS from both Jammu and Kashmir divisions and it concluded with vote of thanks presented by Director JKIFTS.
