Police reunites missing person with family

KATHUA, Apr 9: District Police Kathua today helped reuniting of a mentally unsound person hailing from district Kupwara in Kashmir Valley with his family members.
An information was received from the reliable sources that one unknown person was wandering in the Chadwal area under suspicious conditions. Acting swiftly, police team of Police Post (PP) Chadwal under the supervision of incharge PP Chadwal, Arun Slathia rushed on the spot and took the person to the concerned Police Post. He was unable to state his whereabouts as he seemed mentally unsound.
After strenuous efforts, the person was identified as Mohd Ashraf, son of Ghulam Mohi- u- Din  of Adhoora Kalama near Peter Mohalla tehsil Handwara and  district Kupwara .
Immediately, contact was established with his family members and they stated that he went missing couple of days before. Later on, the person was handed over to his brother namely, Ghulam –ud- Din son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din of Adhoora, Kupwara after completion of all legal formalities.
The family members expressed gratitude to Kathua Police.
