BHOPAL, June 4: Vishakhapatnam-based World Wide Diamond Manufacturers Private Limited is set to launch its export-oriented diamond processing and polishing unit worth Rs 150 crore at Bhopal.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer Mer Bokrij and his team met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here yesterday and apprised him about the details, an official release said.
The company is expected to generate employment for about 2,500 people. Mr Bokrij urged the Chief Minister to launch this unit in the first week of July. All the formalities for setting up the unit have been completed.
The Development Commissioner, SEZ, Indore has approved this project as 100 per cent export-oriented unit. The state government has issued Kimberly Process Certificate for import and export of raw diamonds and Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam will be the nodal agency for it.
Secretary to CM SK Mishra and TRIFAC Managing Director Arun Bhatt were also present on the occasion. (UNI)
