IMFA organizes poster making event on organ donation

JAMMU, Apr 10: For awareness on organ donation, State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) J&K, in collaboration with Department of Applied Art, Institute of Music and Fine Arts, University of Jammu, organised a poster making activity on the topic ‘”Donate Organs and Saves lives”.
During the activity, 25 students from the department participated and portrayed beautiful messages of saving lives by donating organs by their creativity. They also pledge to donate their organs after death and motivated other also.
Dr Shohab Malik, Principal IMFA, appreciated the efforts of Government to start such initiative and said that no gift is bigger than the gift of life.
Rakesh Sharma, HOD, Department of Applied Arts, said that we can help a generation by organ donation and it is a noble cause to save someone’s life and bring happiness in their life.
Dr Amarjeet Singh said that they were delighted to be a part of such a great initiative of Government of India. He motivated other to donate organs so that someone can live a life of happiness.
Vaanika Sharma, faculty member, Anshu Sharma, Consultant Media/IEC (SOTTO J&K) and Irfan Lone, transplant coordinator, (SOTTO J&K) were present during on the occasion.
