Dharmarth Trust files contempt case in sealing of donation boxes

JAMMU, Apr 10: The J&K Dharmarth Trust today filed contempt case before 2nd Additional District Judge Jammu against the members of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) and others for forcibly sealing donation boxes in Purmandal Shrine in contradiction to March 18 court orders restraining them from interfering in normal affairs of the Trust including matters concerning donations/offerings.
The Dharmarth Trust, through its Secretary Dr Gopal P Sharma, has filed contempt case against Vivek Bandral, President DTEA, Sumit Sharma, Secretary DTEA, Anil Sharma, Pujari Temples at Purmandal, Samba, Rashida Begum, Chairperson, Block Development Council, Purmandal and Joginder Pal Sharma Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Purmandal for forcibly sealing the donation boxes on April 7, 2021 at Purmandal Shrine.
The court, after hearing Advocate Ajay Gandotra (President Dharmarth Trust) in the aforesaid contempt petition, fixed the next date of hearing on April 28, 2021 and also directed SHO Samba to seek appearance of Pt Anil Sharma, Rashid Begum, Chairperson BDC and Joginder Pal, Sarpanch Purmandal in the court for explaining their conduct having committed contempt of court order.
