UDHAMPUR, June 4: In separate cases of crime against women, Police have arrested four persons who were allegedly involved in heinous acts like molestation and attempt to rape.
According to police, one Pawan Kumar of Surni Ramnagar was arrested for attempt to commit rape and he has been remanded to police custody for five days.
Maheshu of Panjar and Pardeep Kumar have been arrested for separate cases of molestation at Chenani and Ramnagar, respectively.
In another case, one Madan Lal of Panjar was arrested on complaint of a girl that she was sexually exploited by the accused on the promise of solemnizing marriage with her. As the accused did not keep his promise and married somewhere else, the victim girl approached Pancheri Police Station following which the former was arrested under section 376 RPC.
