JAMMU, Apr 15: Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) Jammu today expressed confidence over the statement made by Dattatreya Hosabale Sarkarivah of RSS while addressing the diaspora of the community that the GOI is committed to ensure the return and rehabilitation of KPs back in the Valley with dignity honor and full sense of security.
The KPS president K K Khosa in a statement issued here today said the community had been longing to hear such a statement from either the Prime Minister or the real force behind the GOI. After the abrogation of art 35A and 370 there was a lull with no representatives belonging to the Government of India or the Union Territory speaking about the all important issue of return and rehabilitation for the past two years. This had disappointed the community which felt that for some strange reason this issue had been relegated to the backburner.
The KPS appealed the GOI and the UT Government to take Hosabale ‘s statement seriously and frame a pragmatic and viable return and rehabilitation policy in consultation with the cross section  of the leadership of the community to know about their aspirations which is living a life of refugees in their own country for the past three decades.
The call for celebration of the next year’s Navreh in Kashmir should not remain only in the domain of rhetoric nor should such celebration be only symbolic in nature.
It said the proposals for return and rehabilitation have to be comprehensive in nature and must address all the requirements which are necessary to ensure a life of dignity, honor, self esteem, self sufficiency, sense of security, ensured political empowerment, having zero chance of another exodus and after compensating the displaced Kashmiri Pandits in full measure for the losses they have suffered at the time of exodus and also during the past three decades.
