JAMMU, June 5: Kranti Dal today warned the State Government that they will not allow shifting of the General Bus Stand as it will hit the trade in Jammu city.
In a meeting of the organization held under the leadership of its chairman Anan Sharma, all the office bearers strongly opposed the move of State Government regarding shifting of decades old General Bus Stand outside the city.
Pritam Sharma, General secretary, Kranti Dal, said that Government should step back from the decision of shifting of General Bus Stand otherwise Kranti Dal with the help of Jammu people will launch a strong agitation against the Government.
Alleging that due to shifting of Bus Stand, business of the old city and around the Bus Stand will badly effected, he demanded that instead of shifting the Bus Stand proper coordination between traffic police and other agencies be maintained for smooth regulation of vehicular movement on the road.
He further demanded that the main terminal point should be General Bus Stand and Ideal Parking be shifted to the identified places.
