4 booked for youth’s murder

RAJOURI, June 5: The police has booked four persons in connection with the murder of 22-year old, Rakesh Kumar hailing from Kewal village in Budhal.
The boy had been beaten up along with his relative, a Sumo driver Ramesh Kumar by some persons at Dalori and then thrown into a gorge from a `puli’ at Dalori.  The victim was shifted to Rajouri Hospital  and then referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu yesterday but he died on the way.
The body of the deceased was brought back to District Hospital Rajouri and after postmortem it was handed over to the family for last rites. The police said that a  murder case has been registered  vide FIR No. 288/2013 against Army jawan, Ajay Singh, son of Chamail Singh of  Dalori in Rajouri, Rakesh Kumar, son of Baba Ram of Dalori, Chamail Singh, son of Balak Ram  and Kala Khan (a driver), son of  Abdul Razak, residents of  Dalori in Rajouri. A case under Sections 302/341/34 RPC has been registered by police against the accused persons.
A senior police officer said that police parties were conducting raids at different places to nab the accused persons. No arrest could be reported till late this evening.
