KPs condemn assault on general secy Shitalnath

JAMMU, Apr 16: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has strongly condemned the assault on general secretary of Shri Sanatan Dharm, Shitalnath Ashram Sabha Srinagar by some persons who had come from Delhi to show their illegal might in the temple complex some days back.
In a meeting held here, today Kashmiri Pandit community in general and ASKPC in particular took serious note of the ugly head raising of miscreants in the premises of Shitalnath temple and warned them for such action in future which it said would never be tolerated.
While addressing the gathering president ASKPC Ram Krishen Wangnoo said that Shitalnath was the place where from ASKPC started struggle to counter the nefarious designs of fundamentalists whenever, they planned against Kashmiri Pandits from time to time since 1931 that include loot of Pandit properties , their killings or rape of women. He added Shitalnath was “Karm Bhoomi” of Shri Sanatan Dharm Yuvak Sabha. He cautioned those who wanted to distort the piousness of Shitalnath with making it anti Kashmiri Pandit hub and warned miscreant activities would never be tolerated at any cost.
Ravinder Raina. vice president in his address said that our great leaders like Pt Hargopal Kaul, Kashyap Bandhu, Justice Jai Lal Kilam, Shivnarayan Fothedar had started their struggle from the land of Shitalnath for the betterment of community. The Shitalnath had its political and religious importance and it would be our duty to maintain its sanctity.
Kashmiri Lal Bhat founder PNBMT condemned the recent happing in Shitalnath premises and he reiterated the long pending demand of giving passage to Temples and Shrine Bill to curb activities of such elements.
Ashok Braroo said that Shitalnath had always served as a hub of resistance especially when the Parmishori case in 1967 happened and condemned the recent unhealthy happening at the shrine.
Bharat Bushan Gosani general secretary said that ASKPC cautioned miscreants not to play with fire.
Among others who participated in the meeting were Raja Ji Kakroo, Rubby Mattoo, Veena Gurtoo, Shuban Pandit , J L Pandit, Sanjay Pandita, R L Koul, Bimal Wantoo, Ravi Raina, Sunil Bhat, Deepak Moza , Ashok Dhar and Sanjay Bhat.
