The CBI received complaint from a safai karamchari that Gill had been taking Rs 5000 from every safai karamchari every month, who were working under her, for keeping them engaged in the Corporation as they were temporary workers.
Around 20-25 safai karamcharis were working under the Sanitary Supervisor.
The complainant had been ousted from the job as he refused to pay the bribe to Shehzadi Gill.
On getting a complaint, the CBI laid a trap and arrested Gill red handed when she accepted Rs 5000 corruption money from the complainant.
The CBI sleuths conducted searches at office and residence of Gill.
Meanwhile, Regular Case-6 of 2021 has been registered in the corruption for further probe.
