JAMMU, Apr 18: Deputy Mayor JMC Advocate Purnima Sharma in the presence of Corporator Ward Number 47 Shardha Kumari, SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Inspector Kirti Sharma inaugurated jewellery shop at Main Stand near Kalli Mata Mandir at Ward Number 47.
The jewellery shop under the name Amit Jewellers was opened by Amit Thothla.
After inaugurating the jewellers shop, Advocate Purnima Sharma said that due to the COVID-19 pandemic many people lost their jobs and faced huge losses in businesses as well. But now under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan by Prime Minister, many people are becoming atmanirbhar by opening restaurants, saloons, shops and other sources to earn income, she added.
She further said that she hope that this jewellers shop sees great success and further appealed to the general public not to wander out of their houses unnecessarily as COVID-19 cases are on the rise again and only to go out when its important by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
Varinder Gupta, Amit Thothla and other prominent citizens of the area were also present.
