Sikhs pay tributes to Operation Bluestar victims

SRINAGAR, June 6: To pay tribute to people who sacrificed their lives in Operation Bluestar, a function was organized at Gurudwara Shaheed-Bunga, Srinagar. During the ceremony, floral tributes were also given to four Sikhs and three Muslim brothers who sacrificed their lives in 1984 in a protest at Srinagar against this harsh operation carried by the Government.
On the occasion, All India Sikh Students Front (Kashmir wing President) Jasbir Singh said that such shocking act of government can never be forgotten by the World and especially by the Sikh community in which numerous innocents were killed by the bullets and the Golden temple was turned into a war ground.
President Gurudwara committee Pulwama, Dr. Mohan Singh Shant said, “we the people of J&K strongly condemned such “cowardly” act of the Government.”
