RAJOURI, Apr 22: Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Jammu- Poonch constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma today reviewed the progress achieved under different centrally sponsored schemes in district Rajouri at the District Development Coordination & Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting held in the Conference Hall of PWD Dak Bungalow.
The meeting was attended by Chairperson District Development Council, Naseem Liyaqat; Vice-Chairperson   DDC, Shabir Khan; District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan, SSP, Sheema Nabi Qasba, BDC Chairpersons, DDC Members, nominated members of DISHA and senior officers of the district administration among the others.
At the outset, the District Development Commissioner gave a detailed presentation on physical and financial progress and achievements made under various centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the district.
Detailed deliberations were held on the schemes being implemented in different sectors of the district like MGNREGA, 14th Finance Commission, PMGSY, NSAP, SSA, PMJDY, APY, PMJJBY, PMSBY, PMMY, PMUY, PMGSY, PMEGP, Poshan Abhiyan, PM Kisan, KCC, soil health cards, ICPS, BADP, BBBP, NHM, housing for all, PMAY-U and other centrally sponsored schemes.
About the PMGSY roads, the meeting was apprised that there are 319 schemes in Budhal and Rajouri subdivision in all the nine phases out of which the work on 224 schemes has been completed and the work on 95 schemes is at different phases of execution.
Regarding the houses being constructed under PMAY, the meeting was informed that out of 32441 houses, the work on 5962 is complete and the first, second, third and fourth installment has been provided to 23262, 10330, 5863 and 586 beneficiaries, respectively.
Regarding health infrastructure being constructed under PMDP, it was apprised that work on three buildings viz SDH Sunderbani, SDH Nowshera and SDH Terayth is on. The work on SDH Sunderbani and SDH Nowshera is withheld due to a shortage of funds and would be resumed once the funds are available.
Concerning the FCS&CA, it was highlighted that about 92 per cent and 76 per cent of beneficiaries have been Aadhar seeded under NFSA and Non-NFSA and concerted efforts are being made to cover the left out beneficiaries.
Concerning the construction of the GMC Rajouri, it was informed that the work on the Academic and Administrative block is at the finishing stage and the work on the Hostel block and other allied works would be completed soon.
While assessing the power scenario in the district, the MP took a detailed review of progress achieved under the centrally sponsored schemes including DDUGJY, PMDP(Rural), IPDS, PMDP(Urban) and other important centrally sponsored schemes of the PDD.
The MP stressed upon the officers to ensure that all the centrally sponsored schemes are implemented on the ground as per the laid down guidelines so that the targeted and eligible persons are benefitted from these schemes.
He also asked the officers to work with dedication and in a mission, mode to ensure the time-bound completion of work on the developmental projects besides he also asked them to maintain the quality while working on developmental projects.
He also urged the public representatives to ensure the regular monitoring of all the developmental activities being carried out in the areas of their respective jurisdictions and make the best possible efforts to take their areas to new heights of development.
The public representatives also discussed several issues and demands of their areas related to the inadequate water supply, macadamization and renovation of roads, up-gradation of educational and health institutions among other related issues that were also projected in the meeting.
The MP gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands projected during the meeting and assured that all their genuine concerns would be redressed in a phased manner.
The MP also e- inaugurated 111.61 KM road and bridge projects of PMGSY completed at  a cost of Rs 67.23 crore.
