JAMMU, Apr 22: Ward number-3 (Old Jammu City) Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Narottam Sharma here today met Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Department and demanded replacement of all old and worn-out water supply pipes in old Jammu city to ensure clean drinking water to the people residing there.
He also submitted a memorandum in this regard.
The JMC Councillor also demanded two additional tube wells to meet the water scarcity problem in old city areas.
He informed that due to old and damaged water pipes in old city areas, people are complaining regarding poor quality of water.
The Chief Engineer gave a patient hearing to the Councillor and assured to take some necessary action at an earliest.
