ASKPC’s concern over selling of temple land

JAMMU, June 7: ASKPC in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of H L Chatta its president expressed concern over the grabbing of land belonging to Hindus shrines in Kashmir Valley.
Mr Chatta warned those elements who indulge in this practice and said that 132 kanals of land belonging to temple at Bhagat Kanipora in Srinagar attached to Babh Dharam Dass has been sold by a self styled Mahant.
He in an appeal to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah urged him to issue directives to concerned DCs’ to stop the selling of the land of religious places of Hindus in valley.
The meeting also demanded probe into the bungling in Durga Nag Trust and appointed Bharat Bushan as its representative to the Committee which will probe the issue.
