Modi Govt standing with people at every step: Rekha

JAMMU, Apr 26: Rekha Mahajan, secretary, Jammu and Kashmir, BJP today said that Government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is working with dedication towards public service during the COVID-19 crisis.
She said to curb the current oxygen crisis and help needy, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s decision to set up 551 PSA Oxygen Generation Plant in public health facilities across the country shows how Narendra Modi is concerned for the well being of the Indians. These plants will serve as a major boost to oxygen availability at district level and strengthen the public health system, meet day to day medical oxygen needs and uninterrupted access to manage COVID-19 patients and other sick persons who need such support. For this, the money has been allotted from the PM Cares Fund to which the people across the country had contributed last year, she added.
While appreciating PM’s decision of providing five kg of food grains for two months under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana by allocating Rs 26,000 crore to benefit about 80 crore people of the country, she said that it again shows that the Government at the Centre is fully standing with the countrymen at every step in this difficult time of COVID-19.
She expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister and Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, for announcing free vaccination from May 1, for the people of Jammu and Kashmir UT falling in the age group of 18-45 years.
She further said that Bharatiya Janata Party has always played an upfront role in the service of the public and during this difficult time of pandemic, the party has set up teams at various levels to extend every possible help to the needy.
The BJP leader said that PM took historic decision on Saturday when at a high-level meeting, key decisions of waiving Customs Duty on oxygen and oxygen related equipments & COVID-19 vaccines were taken.
Rekha Mahajan appealed to the public to come forward for their vaccination without any fear or hesitation, adding that infection rate in people who have undergone vaccination has been noted below one percent, which is a healthy sign.
