SAMBA, May 30: A meeting of All J&K Ex Para Military Forces (EPMF) was held in Bana Singh Stadium here today under the chairmanship of Ex-DIG BSF Bakhshish Singh.
Addressing the meeting Kartar Chand Bhagat, president of the Association lambasted the Central Government in general and Home Ministry in particular for not redressing their long pending demands especially of pre-2006 retirees who suffered huge anomaly/disparity in pension structure after 6th Pay Commission Report. These pensioners have been proportionality kept at lowest ebb in comparison to their counterparts in Defense Force.
He criticized the Government for not extending the facilities as per Defence Forces to other CPMF because the Assam Riffles, Costal Guards and Rashtriya Riffles (RR) are also part of the CPMF and they are already availing all the facilities. He stressed upon the party cadres to be vigilant and united till the goal is achieved. He lauded the role of CPMF and paid homage to officers and jawans who laid down their lives for unity and integrity of the nation while fighting the proxy war in J&K and North East (NE) and in recent snow avalanches.
The meeting was presided over by Kartar Chand Bhagat Ex-Deputy Commandant, BSF. He said that since the authorities at helm of affairs are well aware of our demands, but they intentionally turned deaf ears and adopted oppressive attitude to settle down the problems.
