JAMMU, Apr 27: A meeting of Plus Two Principals was held here, today under the chairmanship of Ram Parkash Sharma president Plus 2 Officers (Principals ) Forum which termed the DPC of the in charge Principals a great achievement of the Forum.
The meeting highly acclaimed the role Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha , Advisor to Governor, in charge Education, Chief Secretary and Administrative Secretary School Education besides the staff of the HRM Section and other officers of the Department who worked hard in settling the long pending issue of the Plus Two principals.
The meeting demanded that the benefit of the promotions be given to them from the date they were appointed as incharge principals and any change in this regard will be violation of fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution.
The Forum expressed the hope that the other genuine demands including ACP and non vocational status of Principals will also be considered at the earliest by the administrative Secretary School Education Department. The meeting said with grant of DPC the long struggle of the Principals of all three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh came to logical conclusion.
The meeting of the Forum besides Ram Parkash was attended by Harbans Lal Chaudhary, Subash Sharma, Dr Subash Sharma, Shiv Kumar Pandita, Dr Sanjay Pandita, Uttam Kohli, Govind Sharma, Dalbir Singh and others.
