Randstad India MD and CEO quits

CHENNAI, June 8:  HR services provider Randstad India today said its Managing Director and CEO, E Balaji has decided to quit to “pursue other career opportunities” outside the organisation.
The city-based company announced Moorthy K Uppaluri as its CEO, who would join in a week, Randstad said in a release.
Balaji joined in 1994 and had worked in various responsibilities during the last 19 years in Randstad India. He was holding the position as Managing Director and CEO for the last two years.
“He (Balaji) has decided to step down from his post with Randstad India to pursue other career opportunities outside the Organisation,” the release said.
However, the company said Uppaluri and Balaji would work together over the next few weeks for a smooth transition.
“Balaji has played a key role in the transition from Ma Foi India to Randstad India. I want to thank him for his commitment and dedication to the company and wish him best of luck in his future endeavours,” Randstad India Chairman Paul Van de Kerkhof said.
Randstad India currently offers its services across 39 countries globally.The company has 29,300 corporate employees and has about 4,500 branches worldwide.It generated revenues of 17.1 billion euro last year, the statement added. (PTI)
