Gur prices remain steady in thin trade

NEW DELHI, June 8:  Lethargic conditions developed on the wholesale jaggery market in the national capital today as prices moved in a thin range on small alternate bouts of trading before ending at last levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled at last levels in restricted trade.
Marketmen said restricted arrivals and sporadic buying support mainly kept prices on last levels.
The following are today’s quotations per quintal:
Gur chakku 3,400-3,500, pedi 3,400-3,500, dhayya 3,600- 3,700 and shakkar 3,600-3,700.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,700-2,750, chakku 3,000-3,150 and khurpa N.T.
Muradnagar: Pedi 3050-3,100 and dhayya 3,100-3150. *(PTI)
