JAMMU, Apr 28: At a time when the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu is facing grim situation due to surge in COVID positive patients, the mobile telephones of Airtel and Jio have virtually stopped working within the GMC premises causing enormous inconvenience to doctors and staff in communicating with each other.
GMC Jammu Medical Superintendent Dr Dara Singh today shot off letters to the Managers of Bharti Airtel Mobile Communication and Jio Mobile Network Communication asking them to restore proper services of their mobile network in the GMC premises so that the doctors, other staff, patients and their attendants could communicate freely.
“Not only doctors and staff but even the serious patients and their attendants are suffering at the time of COVID pandemic due to failure of mobile network system of Airtel and Jio,” Dr Dara Singh said in his separate letters to the Managers of the two companies.
He hoped that the Companies will immediately rectify the faults and restore their network in the GMC Jammu premises.
