JAMMU: Security forces today recovered cache of arms and ammunition including Pak originated mortar in mountainous Kishtwar district.
“Based on tip off, the Rashtriya Rifle troops of CIF Delta, this morning launched search operation in Berna area, 10-kilometre South West of Kishtwar district and recovered the arms and ammunition,” S N Acharya-Jammu Based Public Relation Officer, Ministry of Defence here told reporters.
He said during searches two UBGL, one 60 mm Pak origin mortar, country made pistol and a RPG round with wooden frame were recovered from the site.
The area has been cordoned and the searches has also been intensified but no arrest has been made so far, he added. (AGENCIES)
