Mahajan Sabha urges communities to cooperate in controlling COVID pandemic

JAMMU, Apr 28: In a meeting here today Central Mahajan Sabha has sought public support to check further spread of COVID-19 pandemic in J&K.
The meeting was chaired by Sabha president, Romesh Chander Gupta wherein it was appealed all the Biradaries, Sabhas, religious, political, cultural and social organizations, business communities, shrine boards and governing bodies of various shrines etc to contribute in following the laid COVID guidelines by the government like wearing face masks and maintaining social distance while visiting religious places and tourist spots across J&K.
Ramesh Chandra Gupta said that Mahajan Sabha Ward members will take it as national health emergency and their role will be as front runners in the society.
He also requested NGOs, urban local bodies, Panchayats and mohalla committees to come forward and educate people about the need to strictly follow COVID SOPs.
The Sabha president said that pandemic cannot be dealt by one but co-operation of every single person, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, gender and religion is must.
He said that the government should treat tax payers as economy soldiers.
