JAMMU, June 8: People’s Democratic Party today condemned the State Government for not holding elections of Municipal Corporations and Local Bodies.
Addressing a press conference here at party’ s district office here at Bikram Chowk, PDP District vice- president criticized the Government for not holding Municipal elections due since four years.
He said, “ NBCC, ERA and Municipal Corporation have not been working upto the exception of general public and ignoring the problems faced by the people. Almost all the lanes of Rani Park, Sabzi Mandi, Kali Janni, Jullahka Mohalla, Peer Mitha,Kanzi House, Ragunathpura and Dogra Chowk were damaged by the ERA while laying sewerage pipes, which have not been repaired till now”.
He criticized NBCC, ERA and the concerned MLA for not doing their work properly. He alleged that several works which were taken in hand by NBCC have been left incomplete creating a lot of problems to the local resident of Jammu East Constituency.
