SRINAGAR, June 8: Shaheed Uttam Singh Group of Institutions (SUSGOI) is going to launch unique scholarship incentives for prospective students. This was stated by Director General of the SUSGOI Prof Col (Dr) Rakesh Sharma while briefing media persons here.
Prof Rakesh Sharma would brief the students on cyber-bullying during the cyber security workshop here to be organized by Rational Tabs Technologies Ltd from June 11 to 15 at SP College Auditorium.
Unveiling the scholarship scheme the DG announced that the wards of Media, Defence, Police, Paramilitary, Single Girl Child, sibling of existing students, Principals/ Headmasters of Institute/ schools, sports persons and artists are entitled for a scholarship of 20% of the Academic Tuition Fee as scholarship.
First 2000 rank holders of any Board/ Extrance Exam are offered scholarship ranging from 20% to 100 percent of the semester tuition fees.
Recognized as the best engineering college by Times Research for outstanding programmes and infrastructure and listed among 100 engineering colleges by Data Quest Survey 2009 amd 2010, SUSGOI is the Premeir Institute of Chandigarh Region.
Established in the year 1996, the group is running Post Graduate programs like M Tech, MBA (Global), MBA, MCA, MSc (Biotech), MSc (Microbiology), MSc (Psychology), MA (English), MA (Punjabi) and under-graduate programmes like B Tech, B Sc (Biotech; Microbiology; Industrial Microbiology, Human Genetics), B Com (Professional), B Com, BBA,BCA and BA. The Group also offers engineering diploma courses. The Group has ergonomical hostels equipped with 24×7 water and electricity supply.
The DG of the Institute informed that SUSGOI is the oldest, UGC NASAC accredited in Academics, TCS accredited and placements, Champion in Sports and recipient of many theatrics Awards is also having record placements in TCS, Accenture, Wipro, HCL Infosystems, Infy, L&T beyond the curricula courses from IBM, IIT Mumbai, EMC2 etc.
