ULB, BDC polls must: MP

Jammu, June 8 :  Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch Constituency Madan Lal Sharma said that Urban Local bodies election are must for mitigating the issues and grievances of Urban population in Jammu city and other towns .
Addressing a Public meeting at Talab Tillo Mr. Sharma said that democracy can only be transfer at grass root level if Urban Local bodies and full Panchayati Raj system is in place.  He demanded that Coalition  Government should priorities and take a decision to conduct early ULB and BDC polls.  He also felt that there was utmost need to increase basic amenities in Talab Tillo and adjoining areas.  The present infrastructure is not enough to cater the need of present population as the  population has increased manifolds .
Mr. Sharma appealed the Jammu people to unite for the common cause of Jammu and Congress Party is the only party which has the potential to partner in Government and watch the interest of Jammu division at large. He said that time has come when Jammu people should present a united phase to counter the nefarious designs of anti Jammu forces.
He  informed people that Congress led Government has brought a food security bill in the Parliament by virtue of which 75-80 percent of rural people and 50 percent of Urban poor could get food on cheap price for all members of the family but  BJP for blocked the bill in the Parliament.
