SRINAGAR, June 8: In order to monitor the implementation of the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA), the Secretary General Administration Department, Sheikh Mushtaq on the instructions of Chief Minister visited various offices in Srinagar and inspected the records in Deputy Commissioners office, Tehsil office (South) Srinagar and Municipal Corporation, Srinagar.
The records related to the services like issuance of State Subject Certificate and Dependent Certificates and various revenue extracts were checked during the visit for ascertaining the quality disposal of the services being provided and adherence to the timelines as specified under the Public Services Guarantee Act/Rules.
In the SMC, the records were checked in respect of services like Birth, Death certificates and issuance of Building permissions for construction of houses.
During the course of the visit, the Secretary GAD also interacted with a cross section of people and enquired about the delivery of services, being provided to them by these offices.
The Secretary GAD impressed upon all concerned designated officers and appellate authorities to ensure the compliance with the requirements under the Act/Rules and adherence to the timelines so that the objective of its proper and effective implementation on ground is achieved.
Secretary GAD was accompanied by Additional Secretary, Public Services Management Cell of GAD, Ajaz Abdullah.
