Two killed, 8 injured in accidents

SRINAGAR, June 8 : Two security personnel were killed and eight others, including two children, were injured in different road accidents in north Kashmir, police said today.
Two CRPF personnel of 177 Bn, Inspector Yoginder Singh and Constable, Parveiz Ahmad died and six others were injured when the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident at Sangri-Top, Watlab. The police statement said the injured were shifted to Army Hospital, Srinagar, for treatment and bodies of deceased were handed over to the concern Battalion, the spokesman said.
In Handwara, an unknown motorcycle hit and injured Shaista Akhtar, 12, daughter of Abdul Rashid Bhat of Gund Kuhroo on Gund Kahroo highway. The injured girl was shifted to District Hospital, Handwara, for treatment, police said.
In another accident, police said, a Maruti car (JK09-7810) hit and injured a boy, Adil Fayaz War, 7, son of Fayaz Ahmad of Kulangam at Kulangam. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
