Mystery car traced to Laila Khan

JAMMU, May 30: The mysterious Mitsubishi Outlander luxurious car, seized by police from Kishtwar town yesterday, has been traced to absconding Bollywood and Lollywood actor Laila Khan.
DIG Doda-Ramban range Gareeb Dass said investigations conducted by police after seizure of Outlander car bearing Maharashtra’s registration No. MH02AY 7867 revealed that the car belonged to Laila Khan, who had acted in Indian as well as Pakistani films and was untraced for past quite some time along with her sister mother Saleena Patel and other family members.
Saleena Begum was divorced by her husband Nadir Shah Patel of Mumbai.
Police said one Parvez Ahmed Tak, who had allegedly driven Rs 24 lakh worth car to Kishtwar from Mumbai, was also absconding.
“The car was linked to crime and criminals”, the DIG said, adding Laila Khan and her family members were missing from their Nasik, Maharashtra residence for past quite sometime.
Police had reports that Tak had reportedly married one of the family members of Saleena Begum.
Police was conducting further investigations in the case. Maharashtra police has been informed about seizure of the car.
Police said more details could be gathered once Tak was arrested.
