Jr SFS officer takes quantum jump, becomes PC

Srinagar, June 9: In brazen violation of norms and surpassing 13 State Forest Service (SFS) officers in the Forest Department, a junior SFS officer has been posted as Project Coordinator of the prestigious Wullar Lake project and his seniors have to work under him.
Mohammad Maqbool Rather, In-charge Deputy Conservator Forests (DCF) was posted as Project Coordinator Wullar Project, a post previously held by a senior IFS officer of Conservator rank.
According to seniority list of the department, Rather has surpassed 14 officers for his close proximity to higher ups in the Forest Ministry. Those SFS officers who are senior to him and have been surpassed include Altaf Geelani, Harmohinder Singh, Showkat Hussain, Mohammad Shafi Keenu, Ghulam Mohammad Badher, A K Razdan, Ramesh Chander Gupta, Tej Bahadur Singh, Sajjad Hussain Mufti, Mohammad Rafiq Bhat, Qaimudin Malik, Narinder Singh, B A Wani and Farooq Ahmad Dar.
