AJKKU holds dharna, highlights problems

RAJOURI, June 9: All Jammu and Kashmir Kissan Union (AJKKU) today organised a dharna at tehsil headquarer, Kalakote.
While speaking, chairman, AJKKU and former Legislator demanded withdrawl of increase of tariff and increase in minimum load slab to 500 watts for 10,000 farming families of Kalakote assembly segment.
Sharma also demanded installation of electronic meters, free electricity to farmers, increase of quote for J&K in electricity in NHPC projects as per contracts and electrifying of all the villages.
On the occasion, a memorandum was also submitted to tehsildar Kalakote for handling over the same to Prime Minister, Governor, Chief Minister, Union Minister for Power and other senior officials of the State Government.
Among others present were MY Mughal, Som Raj Khajuria, Rattan Lal Padha, Ram Parkash, Vijay Kumar Potha, Choudhary Fareed Khan, Hans Raj etc.
