Teachers to protest for salary

KATHUA, June 9: Expressing serious concern over unprecedented delay in release of salary of the teachers working under SSA, J&K United School Teachers Association has announced to hold a protest demonstration over the issue on June 12.
A meeting of Association members from Samba and Kathua districts was held at Dayalachak under the chairmanship of provincial president Hari Singh, who announced that on June 12, a protest demonstration would be held in front of the CEO Office Kathua.
The meet also highlighted some demands such as early adjustment of newly promoted Masters and Lecturers, Selection Grade for undergraduate teachers, removal of pay anomalies etc.
Those who attended the meeting, included Rajiv Kumar, Julfkar Ali Malik, Raj Kumar, Madan Singh, Kishore Lal, Yash Pal, Hans Raj, Rattan Singh, Sukh Dev Singh, Nur Allam, Kewal Krishan, Parveen Singh, Natar Chand, Ashok Kumar and Sham Lal.
