Laptops will help shape youths’ future: Akhilesh

BAREILLY, June 10: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today distributed laptops to class 12 pass students, saying it would help in shaping their future and attaining more knowledge.

‘The SP government is working for the betterment of the people and keeping its promises,’ Mr Yadav said while addressing a function at M J P Rohelkhand university, where as many as 8,973 inter-pass students were given laptops,  here.

The CM, personally who distributed laptops to 50 students,  said the students would attain more technical education through laptops and take a step towards  advancement.

Besides, the government is sincere in providing employment to the youths.

Denouncing former CM and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati for wasting people’s money on parks and monuments, he said the names of several ministers and politicians were coming to the fore in misuse of money on  stones.

On the occasion, Mr Yadav also unveiled the bust of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia and inaugurated a number of developmental  schemes.

As many as 50 Congress activists, including MP Praveen Singh Aron, were arrested for agitating against the CM’s  programme.

Last night too, BJP district president Raj Kumar Sharma and 12 others were arrested by police for protesting against the CM’s programme.
