Govt mulls division of Secretariat building into wings

JAMMU, June 10: For ensuring better functioning of the Civil Secretariats in both the capital cities, the State Government is mulling division of the Secretariat buildings into wings for further allotment to various departments.
For the purpose, Government has constituted a committee, which will suggest the demarcation of the entire Secretariat building at Jammu and Srinagar into wings.
Headed by Principal Secretary Planning and Development Department, the committee   comprises of Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Secretary GAD, Chief Engineers PWD Jammu/Kashmir and Executive Engineer Estates Division Srinagar/Jammu as members and Director Estates as the member secretary.
The committee may co-opt any other member for advice, says the Government order in this regard.
