JAMMU, June 10: The meeting of the residents of various localities including Janipur, Lakar Mandi, Shanta Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Janki Vihar, Amba Theater Mohalla, Patoli, Top Sherkhania, Durga Nagar and the localities of the West Assembly Constituency was held under the chairmanship of Sunil Dimple.
The prominent leaders who addressed the meeting included Sanjeev Dogra, Koushal Kumar, Suresh Verma, Amit Dogra, Gopal Sharma, Kasturi Lal, Ashwani Nayar. Ravi Datta, Devinder Sharma, Mohan Lal Sharma and many presidents of the Mohalla Commitees.
The resolution was passed by the people that Jan Andolan will be intensified against the PDD for power crisis in the Jammu region in general and Jammu city in particular.
Sunil Dimple in his address said that the mass protest dharna, demonstration, will be held on June 12, at Janipur High Court Chowk out side PDD Grid Station at 10 am in which the residents of all the localities of Janipur, Lakar Mandi, Shanta Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Janki Vihar, Amba Theater Mohalla, Patoli, Top Sherkhania, Durga Nagar and the localities of the West Assembly Constituency held to day.
Dimple appealed the people to join in large number in the Shav Yatra of the PDD Ministry on June 12 at Janipur High Court road chowk.
He said the increasing power cuts and low voltage has added to the woes of the people in this sweltering heat as no electric gadgets work and PDD is not paying any attention to solve the problem.
