Clerks to observe pen down strike on June 18, 19

JAMMU, June 10:  Clerical staff of all the departments has decided to observe two day pen down strike  on June 18 and 19, 2013 as the Government has failed to remove pay anomalies in their grades.
Members of  Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association in a meeting held here today under the leadership of Ravi Singh Bhau, Sukhbir Singh, Ravinder Singh, Yashpal Sharma and others decided to go on strike on June 18 and 19. The meeting resolved to press the Government for the redressal of their long pending demand.
The members also condemned the anti-employee policies of the Government. They said the Government agreed the demand of pay anomaly and also framed a committee which submitted its report but its implementation was not seen. They said despite several representations Government remained unmoved. Now, it has been decided to observe two day strike in support of their demand. The Association appealed all the employees of  clerical cadre to observe complete strike on June 18 and 19.
Meanwhile, Public Health Engineering Employees Welfare Association led  by Balwinder Singh has supported the strike call given by the Association  and asked all the employees of the cadre to observe Kam Chhor Haltal on the proposed dates. Mr Singh criticized the Government for not removing the pay anomalies of the cadre.
