BHADERWAH, June 10: To educate the people about “Road Safety” related issues, Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) organised a play at Seri Bazaar.
The play was conducted by a Jammu based theater group consisting of young and vibrant youths of Sangam Theater Group.
Through the play, the artists depicted the suffering which a family had to go through when a member of family meets with an accident.
The artists also adequately covered the safety measures that should be taken to avoid such incidents.
The message “Safety on the roads is as important as safety at our homes” was effectively conveyed through this play.
On the occasion, Sharief Niaz, Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) was the chief guest, who while speaking said that such initiatives by the Army will go a long way towards spreading the message of road safety amongst the locals.
He said that the drama/theaters have always played an important role in the society in entertaining as well as educating people about various aspects of life.  Apart from entertaining it also leaves an impact on the psyche of an individual for a long time, he added.
