JAMMU, June 10: After being relocated to the new site, the life size statue of Lt General Bikram Singh was unveiled today.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Pt Mangat Ram Sharma and Paramveer Chakra awardee Subedar Bana Singh formally unveiled the statute during a simple but impressive function at Bikram Chowk.
The function was organized by Shaheed Bikram Singh Yaadgar Committee, which takes care of the statue.
Shouting of slogans like Bikram Singh Amar Rahe and an `Ardaas’ marked the occasion, which was also attended by several people, including members of the Yadgaar Committee.
Pertinent to mention that the statue was earlier installed in the rotary at Bikram Chowk but recently relocated to the new site; take off point of the purposed fly-over there.
