JAMMU, June 10: The Government today ordered appointment of former Minister and National Conference MLA from Kargil Qamar Ali Akhoon as Advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Mr Akhoon, who had resigned as Minister for Transport and CAPD on January 15 this year to facilitate reshuffle in the Council of Ministry, was sulking after his exit.
Official sources said Mr Akhoon would have the status of Cabinet Minister while working as Advisor to Chief Minister.
