SAMBA, May 9: Ghagwal Police arrested four gamblers along with Rs 31,100 stake money and playing cards, police official said.
The arrested persons were identified as Madan Lal, son of Tara Chand of Ward Number 10 Chak Manga , Samba, Ankit Sharma, son of Harbans Lal of Jatwal, Ghagwal, Anil Singh, son of Kumair Singh of Gurha Jatan, Ghagwal and Tania Singh, son of late Gyan Singh of Chak Manga, Samba.
It is pertinent to mention here that District Administration Samba has imposed Corona Curfew in the entire district Samba in a bid to contain the spread of COVID 19 but the above named delinquent persons violate the restrictions orders issued by DM Samba and negligently/malignantly promoted the spread of infectious and contagious disease COVID-19, thereby putting the lives of others at risk.
A case under FIR Number 102/2021 under Sections 13 Gambling Act, 269, 270 and 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
