Two drug peddlers arrested with cannabis

JAMMU, May 10: Peer Mitha Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered cannabis from their possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Peer Mitha led by SHO Inspector Ajaz Haider and assisted by Incharge Police Post Gujjar Nagar SI Ayub Khan laid a naka at SK bridge near Gujjar Nagar and intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 65 to 70 grams cannabis from the possession of the persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Tushal Gupta, son of Rakesh Gupta of Prem Nagar and Rahul Verma, son of Pawan Kumar of Peerkhoo.
A case under FIR Number 27/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and investigation started.
