MLC seeks special attention for backward areas

 RAJOURI, June 11:  PCC general secretary Ravinder Sharma has sought special focus on the under develop and backward pockets in order to bring them at par with other areas in same locality.
Mr. Sharma said that certain areas and villages have lacked behind and the matter of development and other amenities of life as compared to other localities within the same tehsil and district and such areas require special attention by proper formulation of plans of the Government under various sectors and schemes.
Addressing a series of meetings in the far-flung Panchayats of Hathal, Devak and Nahoti in tehsil Sunderbani today, Mr. Sharma said that such areas need a special focus to bring them at par with other parts in the district, as the people face great hardships due to lack of proper road connectivity and other similar facilities of drinking water, power and transport.
He said that the balanced and equitable development can only be ensured by adopting a mechanism of formulation of plans based on the developmental graph and indicators rather than any other consideration. He regretted that these Panchayats have not witnessed adequate development in the past and requires more attention to keep pace with the development.
