JAMMU, May 14: An online meeting of over 20 religious-socio-spiritual organizations of Jammu and Kashmir met today to discuss the situation arisen due to the outbreak of Corona Virus. Various social organizations participated in the meeting and deliberated on the hardships faced by the victims of pandemic. The meeting was of the considered view that increase in Corona cases in the UT needs more service work to be done by the Government and social organizations.
It was also discussed that social organizations and the common man should also perform their duties at this time. It was resolved that other than the efforts done by the Government, the civil society and common man should play its role and If there is any problem at any where in their neighborhood, then the nearest society should come forward for help.
It was also impressed on the participants in the meeting that since the virus this time is more contagious so while helping the effected persons one should also take care of their health and follow the Government guidelines. All the organizations were also informed about the service work being undertaken by the organization.
The meeting was attended by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sah Prant Sanghchalak Dr. Gautam Mangi, Prant Pracharak Rupesh Kumar and representatives of other religious and social organizations which included Rotary Club Jammu, Art of Living, Pantjali Yoga Peeth, Gayatri Parivar, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, Brahma Kumari Ashram, Vishwa Hindu Parishad , Local representatives and heads of Seva Bharti, Arogya Bharti, Krida Bharti, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Bharatiya Sabhaviman Trust, Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Ram Krishna Mission, Nirankari Mission, Sahaja Yoga, ISKCON, Indian Yoga Institute etc. The meeting also called upon the society to adopt a healthy lifestyle and move out for their house only in compelling circumstances.
Concerns were also expressed over the continued increase in the death toll due to Corona epidemic in Jammu and Kashmir. It was decided that despite the increase in the number of people infected with COVID-19 during the second wave of Corona epidemic so far in the Union Territory, measures should be taken to increase the morale of the society.
