Shiv Sena expresses concern over slow pace of vaccination

JAMMU, May 14: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray J&K unit today expressed serious concern over the snail pace of ongoing COVID-19 vaccination campaign in J&K.
Addressing a press conference here today Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni demanded improvement of health facilities besides immediate immunization of people of 18-44 age group as he claimed that second wave of COVID epidemic has mostly affected people in the age group of 17 and 50 years and the third wave could affect children.
He claimed that every parent is worried about their children in view of the anticipated third wave.
Sahni said, in Maharashtra the population almost twice that in J&K stands vaccinated by today.
Emphasizing upon the need for administration’s special focus on the health facilities of Jammu division, Sahni said that it is an irony that despite tall claims being made by it on daily basis, people are unable to find availability of beds in government as well as private hospitals in Jammu which has created an atmosphere of fear among the people.
Shiv Sena women wing president, Meenakshi Chibber; General Secretary, Vikas Bakshi; Charman, Rakesh Gupta and Neelam Samyal were also present in the press conference.
