JAMMU, May 15: Senior Congress leader and former Minister, Mula Ram and DCC president Jammu Rural, Hari Singh Chib have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha to immediately resolve the vaccine shortage issue in the J&K UT by procuring adequate stocks of the vaccines at the earliest. They expressed anguish and resentment against the decision of BJP led Government at the Centre for asking States and UTs to procure vaccines for COVID-19 on their own.
In a joint statement issued here today, they said that when the whole country is facing dearth of medicare facilities including that of vaccines there is no justification at all in asking the states and UTs to procure vaccines on their own. They said since BJP is governing the country it is its prime responsibility to procure Corona vaccine and distribute the same as per the respective requirements of states and UTs. The Congress leaders alleged that this proves beyond doubt that BJP is running away from its responsibility.
